Do I Need To Clean My Lashes Daily?
Yes. It is important that you clean, nourish, and protect your lashes
daily. The Lash Shampoo deep foam cleanser is designed to cleanse
off all debris, remove makeup, and kill bacteria without drying out
the skin and breaking down the lash adhesive.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU DON'T CLEAN LASH EXTENSIONS?
One of the most common eye disorders related to eyelash extension
is blepharitis. Blepharitis usually is associated with an overgrowth of
bacteria that live along the base of the eyelashes.
Over time, these bacterias multiply and create a structure called
biofilm. If your eyelashes are not cleaned properly, soon this biofilm
becomes a toxic environment — like the plaque that forms on your
teeth!
Then, these parasitic eyelash mites called Demodex who love to
feed on the biofilm, can overpopulate in between your eyelashes,
causing the painful eyelids inflammation.
THERE ARE A FEW THINGS YOU SHOULD DO TO MAINTAIN YOUR EYELASH EXTENSIONS.
Can you go in a steam room with eyelash extensions?
Avoid going to saunas, steam rooms or similar places. Direct contact with steam is not ideal for your eyelash extensions.

Even after 5 hours, your lash glue can still be unstable for three days. Keep your lashes nice and dry. If you are used to bathing with super-hot water from showers, be ready to lower the temperatures.

The high temperature from the steamy hot showers weakens the glue that bonds the extensions. The same rule applies to saunas and steam rooms as they too would cause harm to your extensions. You’ll also want to skip mascara, even the ones that market themselves as“extension-safe.”

Waterproof makeup, such as waterproof mascara, cans often the glue on your lash extensions. If you use eyeliner, opt for a water-based, non-waterproof version—and be gentle when you remove your makeup at the end of the night.

Rubbing your eyes isn’t good for your extensions. It could damage them and your real lashes. Powdery eyeshadow might not be a great idea either, as the powder can get stuck in the glue and build up over time.
